An apparatus for associating an elastomeric filler with a bead core of a vehicle tire has a fixed frame and two discs which contact each other and rotate together. Each disc has an annular groove with one for encasing the core and the other for applying the base of the filler to the core. The apparatus has means for blocking the opposite sides of the filler in proximity of each end of the "V" and for butt-splicing the ends of the filler strip.

The mechanism for adjusting and centering is made in the form of a lever, an element mounted on it, the side faces of which are angled to each other, and fixed to the base of the cylinder, the stem of which is pivotally connected to the lever.
At the hinge points, the levers are mounted. the sprockets, and the power cylinder rod is pivotally connected to one of the levers via a bar.
The mechanism for connecting the opposite ends of the filler cord is provided with supports and pivotally pivot levers that are pivotally mounted on the axis with their ends, which with their other ends are connected to the supports.
The mechanism for connecting the opposite ends of the filling cord is provided with additional levers mounted on the base, one ends of which are connected to the drive of the mechanism for joining the ends of the filling cord, and on the other ends there are fingers mounted in the grooves made in the supports.

The device contains discs 2 and 3 mounted on the base 1 and interacting with each other, one of which is provided with a rotation drive (not shown) and a profile groove 4 for installing the core 5 of the side ring b in it, and the disk 3 is equipped with a profile groove 7 for installing there is a filler cord 8 in it, and a mechanism for joining the ends of the filler cord in the form of a clamping device 9 (Fig. 2), formed by a ring socket 10 in the form of a step, which is made on a lateral surface. 11 of the disk 2, and the surface formed on the annular peripheral surface 12 of the flange 13 of the disk 2 The annular surface and the annular socket 10 form a profile groove 4 for the core 5.

The core 5 has a square or rectangular cross section, but may have a hexagonal or round cross section.

The disk 3 can be removed from the disk 2 by means of a drive (not shown) for removing the core with a filling cord placed on it.
The device comprises a mechanism 17 for connecting opposite ends 18 and 19 of the filling cord 8, made in the form of two pairs of clamping elements arranged symmetrically with respect to the plane in which profile groove 4 of the disk 2 is located. Each pair of clamping elements is made in the form of hingedly mounted ends of the levers 20 , 21 and the ram 22, the rod 23 of which is pivotally connected to one of the levers 21, which is rigidly connected with the docking mechanism (Fig. 4).
The sprocket arms 24 and 25 are mounted in the articulation points of the levers 20 and 21, and the rod 23 is pivotally connected to the lever 21 by means of a bar 26. The mechanism 17 for connecting opposite ends of the filling cord is provided with supports 27 and pivotally mounted on the axis 28 with its own the ends of the pivoting levers 29 and 30, which are connected by their other ends to the supports 27. The mechanism 17 is provided with additional levers 31 and 32 mounted on the base 1, some of which are connected to the drive 33 at their other ends, and fingers 35 mounted in -vypolnennyh. in supports 27 slots 36.
The device is equipped with a mechanism 37 for adjusting and centering the fulfilled into viewer 38, mounted on it element 39, side faces 40, 41 of which are at an angle oL to each other, and fixed on base 1 of cylinder 42, rod 43 of which is hingedly connected to lever 38 .

The operation of the device is as follows .;
The device is prepared for receiving the core 5, the disk 2 and the flange 13 are separated from each other.
The core 5, coated with adhesive, is installed in the annular seat 10, and the disk 2 and the flange 12 mutually draw each other until it is fixed. The disk 2 is rotated and it transmits by rotating the disk 3.
On the core 5 impose the blank filler cord 8, the blank of which has a length equal to the perimeter core 5.
Filling cord is produced on an extruder, which is installed adjacent to the device. The filling cord 8 passes through the walls of the profile groove 7 of the disk 3 and under the action of the annular edges 15 and 16 is applied to the core 5. After the filling cord 8 is laid, its opposite ends 18 and 19 remain open.
The disk 2 is set in such a position that its rotation can cause the ends 18 and 19 to move to the position that their plane of symmetry coincides with the plane of symmetry of the mechanism 17. For this, the cylinder 38 actuates the lever 38 so that its side faces 40 and 41 placed between the ends 18 and 19. Thus, the centering of the filler cord is carried out. The ram 22 is turned on and the rod 23 moves the bar 26, which causes the arms 20, 21 to move. The filling cord 8 is firmly pressed against one pair of clamping elements. 4nanim 37 is retracted from the term 18 and 19.
The drive 33 actuates additional levers 31 and 32, they cause the fingers 35 to slip in the slots 36 of the supports 27. Through the supports they affect the levers 20 1 and 21, which connect, connect the ends of the 18 and 19 of the filling cord 8.
